The university is requiring that all firewalled networks have an auditing process to record firewall and server changes. Once your server is registered, you will be able to request firewall exceptions (holes in the firewall).
Yes. The steps below outline the process you should follow to continue running your servers.
Go to http://filemaker1.arts.psu.edu:16080/fmi/iwp/res/iwp_auth.html. Click on the Guest button and click the "log in" button (leaving the Account and Password fields blank). Fill out the webform, print it, and sign it.
You will need to provide the following information on the web form:
After you click the Submit and Print button, take the form to your unit head for signature, then forward the form to the database administrator, John McNulty, in 17 Music II.
The unit heads have requested that they be in the loop for iPAS-related activities on their networks.
The database administrator will create an account and login for you, then send you instructions for how to access your server information and make any updates in the future.
Email your support person a description of the research you have done regarding why the exception is necessary.
Your support person will fill in the port information and submit it along the approval path. Your unit head will sign off that he or she has seen it, and the exception will go to the firewall exceptions committee.
